No toon wanted to bring back Gardenview’s old bully but with their options dwindling they decided Shrimpo would be a simple fix and that it would be best to just get it out of the way sooner rather than later. What they don’t expect is that Shrimpo’s capabilities to speak have withered away from him. With shaky hands and no way to communicate, how they’ve wanted to treat him all along is revealed.

It's been months, maybe over a year, since Gardenview shut down, and the toons have been surviving fine enough, even as Ichor slowly corrupts them, wearing on their sanity and mutating their bodies. Dandy's doing his best to keep the place powered and his friends safe, but ever since the twisteds started showing up shortly after the shutdown things have only gotten more difficult as injuries and sickness took root, and things are starting to reach a breaking point.
Several of the toons have been pretty severely infected with whatever the Ichor that the twisteds consist of, most of the rest with varying stages of corruption, and only a lucky few being totally healthy. At this point Dandy is just thankful not one of his fellow toons has been killed.

No one wants to befriend the bully of the show, especially one as insufferable as Shrimpo! Even after the show ended, and there are more important matters to worry about, that sentiment is still true.
The more he grows tired of Gardenview, following many interactions with a music box and other toons, the more he wishes for more in his life.
