Summary
Not too long after the Great Devourer is destroyed by Garmadon, the ninja are now staying in a small apartment to help train Lloyd and prepare him to face his father, but Garmadon is off with the Golden Weapons.
However, when Kai goes out one night to think about all that's happening, to his shock, he comes across what looks like the Great Devourer herself in an alley, alive, but really hurt. Despite what she's done in the past, Kai felt something tell him to help her out, and after patching her up, she does soon wakes up, scared, alone, and confused, and she doesn't remember anything about herself.
Even though Kai is still shocked by her being alive, after having a talk with her, Kai decides to bring him to his friends to talk things out, the Devourer calls herself Fang to make things easier for them, and she soon becomes a new friend for the ninja. And this sets Kai and Fang down an interesting path, with they're help, this could be a sign of things to come for the future of the Serpentine.

This fic was HEAVILY inspired by @TheYugiTwins and their fic The Student Becomes The Master. Read it, I loved it! That whole Merlopia thing with Kalmaar is not canon, but the author executed it so good. I had to put it in. But there is a twist in mine. Also, English isn't my first language, so I'm sorry about the spelling.

Wu and Lorelei set out to find four new Elemental Masters to help protect the realm and the powerful Golden Weapons. Their journey leads them to Cole the Elemental Master of Earth, Jay the Elemental Master of Lightning, and Zane the Elemental Master of Ice.
Wu and Lorelei successfully recruit each of them each time assessing their strengths and personalities. They return to the monastery with the new soon to be ninjas preparing them for their role in defending Ninjago. With three of the four Elemental Masters found Wu and Lorelei continue their search knowing that they must be ready for the impending threat posed by Garmadon.

Cole is a ghost. He ran away from home and got stuck in Master Yangs temple, but escaped with a scroll...
Zane doesn't know he's a robot. At all. He's always acted like one, but he things the symbols he sees are something everyone can see.
Kai and Nya are twins who left home because their parents are never home.
Lloyd. The devourers venom was passed from his father to him, so he is partially evil. He's an 11 year old in a 17 year olds body. He doesn't know his mother.

Summary
The Great Devourer never bit Garmadon and turned him evil. Instead. . . It got his son.
For fear of the evil that could arise in the boy, Wu trapped Lloyd in the Departed Realm so that he would never escape and banished his own brother to the Underworld after he attempted to save his son.
Years later, with the signs of Lord Garmadon preparing to rise again, Wu forms a team of Ninja who will retrieve the Golden Weapons and prevent evil from reaching the living world again.
But this Ninja team only knows so much, and as the final conflict draws closer they begin to question just how much Wu is keeping from them. . .
After all, he never did say how or why his brother turned evil.
