Footsteps. You tense. His hand claps you on the shoulder, right on top of a newly-sewn-shut scar. It’s not as if he didn’t know how to avoid it. He put it there himself, after all. Your nerve endings are so fucked up that you don’t even feel the pain in its proper place.
Instead, it pools in your belly, writhing and luxuriating like liquid fire. It feels good, bizarrely, and you shiver. Your chest clenches with a terrible pang of want.
You fight the urge to lean into his touch, because fuck that. That’s a little too far, even for today, even for you. You’d rather not give him that bargaining chip. You’d rather not give him any more fragments of your soul.

I wrote this because it´s been over 15 years and I still won´t forgive the writers for killing off Marian. It initially follows closely to the original, but will contain many new scenes and flashbacks.

When a young boy of twelve is caught trailing behind them to the crusades they take him under their wings. When they return to Loxley and find Guy of Gisborne living in the manor and are forced to go on the run, they still haven't found Robin's sister. This is that story.

“Allan,” he growls, and then he crashes directly into you. Six feet of leather and danger with a sword strapped to his side. It’s unbearable, honestly. It shouldn't be allowed. He grabs your arm and pulls you with him, a hurricane force that tows you bodily down the hall. You couldn’t resist him even if you wanted to, which you don’t. “We need to talk.”
“Sure, boss.” You grin up at him, crooked and affable, the way you always grin to charm people into thinking less of you. It’s harder than normal, given - well, given everything that’s happened in the last six hours. But you’ll be damned if you give up your persona. You’ve come too far to back out now. “What can I do for you, my lord?”
His expression darkens even further at that. Oops. Wrong question. There are dark bags under his eyes, and a muscle strand twitches along the taut expanse of his neck like a plucked bowstring. Well, fair enough. He just learned that the love of his life is a notorious outlaw with a death warrant on her head. It’s probably not Guy of Gisborne’s best day on the job.
“You can shut up, for a start,” he says. “People are always listening.”
