Dracula wasn’t his brother, though. Carmilla, Striga, Morana and she chose each other as sisters. Being betrayed by them never crossed her mind, and now that wound hurt like sunlight on her skin. As much as she thought about it, she saw only one solution. “I… no, we have to stop her, Hector. Before she gets us all killed, preferably.”
Hector clicked his tongue. “Should I point out you enslaved me to prevent me from revolt? You remember that speech you gave about the so much pain that will make me think to shut out my own heart, do you?”
She did. She thought about it more than enough in the last six weeks. And it hurt her to see how clearly he remembered her words. “We have no other choice. Leaving her alone will only end up with our deaths – hers included. So, you see, it’s not treason since I’m the mind behind it.”Series
