It wasn't that Daniel Jacobi hated the kindness, it was that, more or less, he didn't think he deserved it
Plus nose-goes, movie nights, accidental(?) flirting, and nice words.

Summary
Kids were never part of Jacobi's plan. Not by a long shot. (Then again, neither was the charismatic blunder that is Douglas Eiffel, and we all know how that turned out.)

Summary
“The thing about her,” He says, quietly, “Is that you wouldn’t have even known if she liked you until you really knew her. She wasn’t good at showing emotions, or knowing how to show people she cared about them. But...she respected you.” And I can’t tell if you proved her wrong or right, he doesn’t say. Alana Maxwell had appreciated efficiency, people doing what they needed to do in the most logical way. She might have been impressed or surprised that Minkowski had the guts to pull the trigger, if she hadn’t been on the wrong end of that gun.

"Jacobi, it's been two years. You couldn't have said hello? Dropped a postcard?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Jacobi shoved a stale HoneyBun into his mouth.
Lovelace looked disgusted. "How did that entire thing fit in your mouth?"
"Practice," Jacobi said through the gooey pastry-esque chunk of soggy cardboard. -

Summary
“Where are we?” Hera asks.
Doug jumps at the sound of her voice, and then looks around. They haven’t moved. It’s still grey walls and ceiling around them. He wondered when he started referring to himself in the plural.
“Uh,” he says lamely. “Prison. Texas.”
“Oh.” The scene flickers, and they’re back in the computer room again.
“Where are we now?” Doug asks.
Hera pauses for a little while before replying. The lights dance.
“Prison,” she says.-

Summary
Minkowski is unimpressed with Hera showing interest in astronomy, since based on their track record everything in space is trying to kill them. Especially comets. She should also probably be getting more sleep, because mistakes get made otherwise.
Also featuring useful jobs, pining for regulation dress, delicate wiring, and unacceptable levels of perforation.

Summary
After Doug discovers an unplayed game of Uno in a closet, the gang decides it could be a nice way to kill some time. However, the game puts a degree of strain on the peace the members of the house have established, mostly unseriously, but Doug is still considering his place among the survivors of the Hephaestus mission, and he may have had ulterior motives for pulling out this game…
Plus, the Funzo incident, Pryce & Carter’s Deep Space Survival Procedure Protocol Manual, and an unremarkable lighter.
