Summary
Lovelace bristled at how bluntly he said it. The embarrassing vulnerability of it. Her face stayed still, tired and stern as she looked at Eiffel. And to answer her lack of response, he just… held his arms out. His head tilted to the side, his eyebrows quirked up, offering so genuinely that Lovelace wanted to shove him in a locker about it.
“You’re being weird,” she finally said.
“You’re trying to make it weird,” Eiffel responded. “I take no responsibility for weirdness right now. I’m just the messenger.”

i think Lovelace needs a hug and I think Eiffel’s one of the few people on the Hephaestus that isn’t stifling his desire for physical affection 24/7

Summary
Renee Minkowski feels the weight of gravity - she feels it in every movement, in every glance from her husband, and in the soles of her feet on early morning runs.
She wished she didn't feel it in Doug's gaze, or in Lovelace's silence.

Summary
Warren Kepler was a simple man, to a degree. He did what needed to be done, for the greater good and whatnot, and then went out, not with a bang, but with a bottle of whiskey and the silence of space. Except the story doesn’t end there. Because before he knows it he’s onboard the Urania.

Summary
“What’s the campaign?” he asked curiously.
“Sci-fi detective noir.” Eiffel grinned, “Set on Mars.” Okay, Jacobi had to admit, that did sound interesting. His thoughts must have shown on his face, because Minkowski spoke up next.
“My character’s name is Juno Steel.” she said, “He’s a disaster of a detective with a drinking problem and a lot of personal issues.”

Summary
Jacobi stumbles through the ship - it’s shaking violently, and it makes it harder to find hand holds to propel himself forward. He’s doing his best not to look at his left arm, at the torn flesh and blistering burns that snake up it. At least in zero gravity his leg, the pained mess it is, can mostly just drag behind him.

Summary
He drives, and drives, and drives, until the gas light starts blinking and he has to stop. And then he drives some more, and just goes, and the realization hits him that he has everything he needs. A set of clothes, his papers, his wallet. He could get out.
He needs to get out.Daniel Jacobi needs to get out, so he does. He doesn't end up where he expects to be, but does end up where he needs to be. Picking up the pieces, he meets some new people along the way.
OR: the AU in which Jacobi moves to King Falls, bonds with a friendly radio host, and Kepler maybe ends up not being dead.

Summary
Lieutenant Commander Renée Minkowski is living the single life in Cape Canaveral, trying to get her life back on track following a devastating injury during her time in the Air Force. Even living alone, the office job isn't so bad.
Things are... Okay. Normal. Oh, for how long she's longed for everything to be normal once more.
That beloved normalcy is shattered when a stranger, identifying herself as Captain Isabel Lovelace, appears on her doorstep. Wounded, she arrives with a story of space stations and aliens. If it's all nonsense, then why does Renée remember it?

Summary
“Damn-- psychics!” He could feel Hilbert struggling, pushing at their minds, and then there was another shock of pain as Minkowski’s shields failed and all of Lovelace’s alien scream hit her fullforce, sent her careening into Doug-- “We need to get her to my laboratory!”
Eiffel has never met a psychic. Has always assumed that there were others out there, sure, but not close enough to meet. Close enough to feel. He'd know if he met one. He's sure he would.

Summary
Doug Eiffel is a single dad, doing his best to enjoy the normal life he leads with his daughter. His life is thrown for a loop, however, when he meets a girl named Hera... And somehow keeps running into her. Doug might just learn that taking a risk, and spilling some Chinese food, might be the best thing he's ever done. Just a self-indulgent Eiffel/Hera AU fanfic.

Summary
(noun. the point in the orbit of a celestial body at which it is closest to the sun.)
"Hi, sorry, I don't remember you or any of the terrible things I did to you," is a poor apology at best. So Doug keeps that to himself, figures winging it is the best way to put this whole mess behind him. Turns out there's still a bit of that Old Doug charm somewhere inside him, and it's all anyone in Big Rock, TX seems to see.

Summary
Finally out of the government’s hand, the Hephaestus Crew bunkers down in an offsite lab to recover their bearings, or at least their sanity. That’s more of an unlikely possibility for Jacobi. Somewhere between entering Earth’s atmosphere and ending Goddard Futuristic, he can’t help but act a little different around Doug.
Plus, things that don’t break other things, famous quotes of human history, and the age old question of what’s new pussycat.
