Ivan tries to keep his voice steady. But he’s slightly shaking and his heart is pounding in his chest. God, he can’t keep a cool front on for the life of him. He smiles, even though Till’s not in front of him. He says, “Hey, Till. You know I love you, right?”
He’s so nervous for no reason. It’s not funny.
There’s a pause on the other side of the call. “...Are you okay? You’re not doing anything stupid, right?”
Ivan wants to laugh, because God, Till cares. But he doesn’t, because he hears raw worry in Till’s voice. He must be frightened. And God, how Ivan’s heart breaks when a voice like that comes from Till. So, he chuckles and shakes his head as if Till is here with him, replying, “I’m not. I just wanted to say I love you. Wanna meet for dinner now?”
— Or; It’s Till’s birthday, and Ivan comes up with a plan to make it the best birthday ever.

The violin is not a segyein like Till’s guitar. It was made by human hands, or so he was told. The violin and bow themselves are somewhat old, but they’ve been polished to perfection and look as good as new. Apparently, it was found in a human shop a while back and has never been used. The strings had to be replaced, however, decayed and decomposed from the extended period of disuse.
Or: Ivan learns to play the violin for Till.

Till loved Sundays. Sundays were the most pleasant, lazing around in his bed and doing nothing at all. It was blissful. It was relaxing. Till loved when the world went quiet around him and he was in his bed watching musicals, with nothing to bother him.
That was before he met Ivan, and he could safely say the black-haired man was the love of his life and the one he had been waiting for.
Sundays were now noisy, and whenever Till woke up later than Ivan, there was clattering and clinkering in the kitchen downstairs. Even after he moved in with Ivan for a year, he still wasn’t used to waking up to noise in the house.
But, Till supposed, it wasn’t so bad to open his eyes every morning to a much livelier place that he could call home.

When Sua had moved into the valley for her girlfriend, Mizi, Ivan couldn’t understand the process behind that decision. He can’t imagine living in the rural country, where there is nothing but dirt, animals, and farmland that stretches for miles. But Sua had been happy with the decision — happy for the first time in years — and Ivan supposes that he doesn’t need to intervene.
Eventually, he visited her one day out of curiosity. He wanted to see the small quaint town that she moved into, the one that had captured her heart away from the city, even though he was probably the last person that should be visiting any countryside.
It was only meant to be a short stay — one day at maximum. Then Ivan saw him for the first time, working in the fields, and suddenly, the countryside wasn't all too bad.

Ivan ignored him, his irises flitting over the stars in the sky. “Hm. You’re probably the moon, the exact opposite of Mizi.”
“What?—Hey, don’t fucking ignore me.” Till smacked the side of his head lightly. “But you’re probably right. I’m the opposite of what Mizi is. She’s so bright, like the sun…”
Ivan thought someone else deserved to be the sun more than ever, but he didn’t say it out loud. Well, how could he, when the sun was right by his side even when it was dark out? Till talked about Mizi like she was the sun itself, but he would never know that his closest friend looked at him like he had hung the stars up in the sky.
