The sun crested the distant cliffs across the vast expanse of sand and dirt in front of them, and in a blink the purple of the Barsoomian night was chased away by brilliant daggers of sunlight. Dejah whooped and shouted “It is three days’ ride— follow me!”
John Carter does not know much about Barsoom, Tharks, Helium or the struggles of red men. During the three days' ride to the river Iss, and then Helium, he learns.

Summary
This is an experiment/practice for me as far as writing longer works goes as well as an attempt to bring some "finality" to the Barsoom mythos, which was left open-ended book to book as far as I'm aware. I think it's interesting that genre authors would write series(s) back in the day without ever once thinking that the final book was a "capstone" in any sense, so I'm writing my own ending to the Barsoom series with a sense of finality that ERB (or any writer of the time) never would have given it.

Summary
Jane Carter, local cop in a small town in Virginia, is transported to Barsoom like her ancestor was a century and a half before. Her cousin Danny, the cause of her adventure and much unintended misery, races to find answers and keep himself alive. Between the both of them a plot begins to emerge that threatens both Earth and Mars, or Jasoom and Barsoom, depending on which world you hail from.
Will both Carters manage to survive? Will the mystery of what happened to the rulers of Helium be revealed? Will Jane strangle her cousin Danny if she sees him again? Will two sister planets officially make contact with each other? I don't know either, maybe we'll all find out as I write this shit!
This fic borrows elements from both the books of Edgar Rice Burroughs and the Disney movie John Carter of Mars.
