Summary
After stepping into what he can only assume was a wormhole to another universe, high school student and talented singer Simon Smith finds that the anthromorphic animals around him cannot see him. Only when he speaks, touches them purposefully, or interacts with inanimate objects do they seem to realize he is there. Quickly realizing that he is doomed to remain unseen, he chooses to become a helpful "ghost" in both the garden and drama club, although he also enjoys freaking unsuspecting students out with his singing at night. Very few of the animals know who he is, but he's fine with being unknown. After all, soon he'll have bigger things to worry about, like helping a certain wolf and bunny solve a murder that despite his best efforts he couldn't prevent.

Summary
Now that Haru has been saved from the Shishigumi, Alex can return to his mission: finding down the animal that killed Tem. However, in order to do so, Alex must form bonds with the students of Cherryton High.
The killer does not remain idle for long, though, and strikes at Legosi, bringing him into a coma. While Alex investigates and gathers evidence to prove the identity of the murderer, the gray wolf wakes up from his coma and begins a training regimen that will bring him closer to all of his friends and family. He will grow and develop bonds with many more animals than he did in the anime and manga, such as Tao, Kibi, Bill, Els, and the Shishigumi.

America after WW2 was a prosperous time for the nation. The economy was booming, FDR situated the USA as the dominant super power with their nuclear bombs that kept their edge against the USSR. However, not everyone prospered. Those like Legosi, an air veteran of the European Theatre, had hard times adapting to a new life, especially when they were only sixteen when they first joined.
A new life lays ahead of the now eighteen year old wolf. New York City, a place so different and so similar to the boy's old home of Chicago. It was a new start, which was the only thing he could ask for.
