Lena meets Kara as a lost, distressed child when she is at a park near L-Corp while sitting on a bench and goes to comfort her and spends most of her week with her until she is found by the DEO and taken in by Alex. She then meets Kara properly again a few weeks later in her adult form and can’t help but wonder why it is that she seems so familiar when she is being interviewed by the reporter about her newest invention. And then Lena realizes where she’s seen those golden curls before.

So this is a kind of reversal of the usually role of Alpha/ Omega dynamics. In this story the Omega's are the Dominates while the Alpha's are the subs. Once the pot was on the stove, Lena noticed Alex was taking way too long. Lena found her upstairs leaning against Kara’s room’s door frame and watching the sleeping girl.
“She’s so cute,” Alex said. “Am I being creepy?”
“A little bit, but I get it.”
“Do you think she’s cold? I should get a couple more blankets-“
“I can barely find Kara under that pile of blankets and the heater is on, I’m pretty sure she’s good. Come downstairs. I’m making a tea, I think you could use it too.”
