Trying not to let it show, she turned around in her chair to put the magazine down and saw the presence of a black robe, sandals, and most importantly a sword behind her back. Sakura had in no way expected to find a shinigami here, but her eyes were also caught by the red hair like the boy lying there. She tried to keep her face calm, but she still wished she could at least react in some way to what she saw. The shinigami turned out to be the same Kurosaki boy who was lying in her bunk. She sat back down in her chair, waiting for the guy to do something about it. He immediately started to get up, grunting and kneading his body. Just then Sakura turned to him, smiling sweetly, beginning to question him about how he was feeling.
"Kurosaki Ichigo, 15 years old. Thanks for everything, um..." Ichigo wanted to thank the nurse, but he didn't even know her name, since there was no sign on the office door yet.
"Urahara Sakura. Call me Urahara-san."
Or Sakura's new job was supposed to be a calm and peaceful place for her, but plans are ruined when she sees Kurosaki Ichigo in the guise of a shinigami and becomes close to his friends.

Kisuke stays still as Hirako presses a hand beside his neck, as he presses close enough that Kisuke can almost feel the thump of his heart. “Well?” he asks, smile sharp like a freshly-honed sword. “Do you know?”
“They die,” Kisuke answers, and amends, “you kill them.”
“Yeah,” Hirako says, “I kill ‘em.” Gently, he puts his free hand over Kisuke’s sluggish heart, where it’s beating almost as fast as a human’s. “Why should I let you live?”

Yoruichi sends Kisuke to make peace with the werewolves. Kisuke doesn't know what to expect, but he will do anything to grant Yoruichi's wishes - and Shinji is an opportunist who keeps his friends close, and his enemies closer.

Yhwach didn't want another war as he regains his strength. He looks for a new path to walk. Yamamoto, Captain of the 1st division, is open to peace talks. After the battle against Aizen and everything else that'd happened over recent years the Soul Society would be unlikely to survive a war. They seek out a truce.
While this is happening Ichigo is none the wiser. Instead he starts spending most of his free time with Urahara. A friendship has begun to form between them. Kisuke has started teaching him to meditate to strengthen his connection to his Zanpakuto's, and in the process his bond to his hollow and inner world grow, as well as he grows calmer. Though something tries to awaken that neither of them understand.

As their feelings start to develop, it become obvious there is more going on than simple politics. Mysteries thousands of years old surround them, the Shinigami, Quincy, and even the very palace they aren't allowed to leave. It is up to them to bring it to an end. That is, if they can get past the secrets and deceptions everywhere. It's hard to understand a curse when they don't even know about it. Let along break it.
