Summary
Kale keeps control of Chai and has him beat up and run his friends off. He decides—out of spite—that any defect that can take down his entire staff is worthy of filling a slot there. And now that Chai can’t think for himself anymore he’ll be much more amenable to the idea.
Chai becomes his head of security. There are people working alongside him that help him keep things running. And, well, being a rockstar. Because Mimosa’s not around anymore and the crowd preferred Chai to her anyway, Kale decides to allow him to fulfill his dream on his terms.
People flock to Vandelay campus after signing up for Project Armstrong's second wave and bring along friends and family who want to see what it’s all about. But a lot of people want to see Chai perform and are drawn to the campus because of it too. People have been inspired to get Armstrong tech so they can pursue their dreams the same way Chai has.
Meanwhile, the squad are doing what they can to fight back. They can’t take down Kale without facing the Head of Security and Chai hits hard. They’ll get him back, because the only alternative is taking him down.
