Újabb nyár jön Luca és Alberto számára, újabb lehetőség, hogy együtt tölthessenek egy kis időt. Luca (18) épp készül kezdeni az egyetemet Genovában, de nem biztos még benne, hogy újabb éveket akar távol tölteni az otthonától, vagy hagyja a fenébe, és inkább azok mellett legyen, akik fontosak számára. Mindeközben Alberto (19) felépítette az életét Portorossóban, van két munkája, és még segít a szomszédoknak is, ha meg kell szerelni valamit. Mindezt azért, hogy fizesse Luca tanulását, mert ami fontos Lucának, az fontos neki is. Elvégre a legjobb barátok mindig ott vannak egymásnak, még ha távol is.
Mostanra egészen beilleszkedtek már az emberek mindennapi életébe, de bármikor történhet valami számukra új ebben a világban, például a kamaszkor csodái. Nem elég, hogy emberi alakjukban furcsa dolgokat produkálnak ezekben az időkben, de még kezelniük kell a tengeri szörny oldaluk által okozott, felnőtté válással járó ösztönöket is. A párkeresési ösztönnél pedig nem sok erősebb dolog van egy tengeri lény számára.
