An exhausted 16 year old Dazai and post-corruption Chuuya are found at the border of Yokohama by two pro heroes named Eraserhead and Present Mic.
The heroes assumed the two were escapees and natives from Yokohama and took them back to Musutafu. Allowing them to attend UA and become 'heroes.'
Becoming trainee heroes and attending UA made Dazai and Chuuya have time to figure out their relationship as well. So there were some other benefits of allowing themselves to get kidnapped.

Dazai eased himself from the desk, and out of Mori's face, before taking a step back. Silence filled the space between them, with all of the things that Dazai knew Mori must have been thinking, but too afraid to place into words. The silence drew on, neither one of them saying a word to each other. And that was just fine with Dazai. He preferred it, in fact. Because the silence allowed Mori time to imagine. And Dazai knew that the greatest fear of a human being is the fear toward their own imagination.
Fear...
Dazai saw it there, as he wordlessly gazed into Mori's eyes. As the blood slowly drained from the man's face while the seconds passed in this all-consuming silence. That-Dazai thought to himself. That look in Mori's eyes. That was fear. The fear towards one’s own imagination as it worked against them in the face of this great, gaping maw of the unknown. And no-one, not even the infamous Demon Prodigy himself, could rob a person of that: their imagination.
