Marcus's voice cracks, and she has to turn away from Semmelweis to quickly wipe her eyes. "I…I'm glad I could talk to you about Madam Hofmann…thank you. I'll be - fine, I promise - "
"You don't have to be fine just yet," Semmelweis says quietly. "Everyone grieves at their own pace. It took me years to come to terms with………"
She trails off, and ends the sentence there. Marcus burns with curiosity, but this isn't the time or place to push - instead, she curls into Semmelweis's warmth and closes her eyes.
"Thank you," she says again, and that's the last thing she remembers before she drifts off.

Within the walls of the St. Pavlov Foundation, there circulates an infamous rumor that the sudden release of Isolde von Dittarsdorf was a massive coverup for a jailbreak carried out at the hands of Manus Vindictae turncoats. Why else would her personal file be counted among some of the Foundation’s most classified documents?
Kakania knows better than to believe in all the gossip, nothing more than the desperate attempts of bored office workers to fill their days with something more interesting than their endless piles of paperwork. She has far more important work to do for the Foundation than entertain such meaningless speculation.
Isolde returns to Manus, and Kakania commits to her role within the Foundation. They try to make it work.

In some retrospect, the first person Greta calls about the news being her coworker who's half her age was not one of the most logical decisions she's made in the past few months.
Marcus stares at the two of them expectantly. Greta sighs.
"I..." For half a moment the reception takes a turn for the worse, her voice muted for a good few seconds, followed by garbled audio. Somewhere from the apartment, Kakania curses the wifi for making her Zoom class buffer.
