Denki Kaminari was by no means someone special. He had a moderately powerful quirk and wanted to become a hero when he grew up, but so did everyone else he knew. And that was fine. He didn't care about being in the Top 10 or anything, just getting famous and helping people. And making sure that his grandparents didn't have to worry too much about him
All Might was a man who believed that his time as a hero was coming to an end, meaning he would have to find someone to pass his quirk to soon. He thought the best way to do that was to accept Nedzu's offer to teach at his alma matter, UA.
In normal circumstances, they wouldn't even exchange words until weeks into Kaminari's first year. Yet, in a strange twist of fate, they happen to "meet" much earlier than they should have in a scenario that would otherwise belong to a quirkless boy.
Now All Might has hope for the future and Denki has not just the #1 hero as a mentor, but apparently his grandparents, too-and they were pros in their day, apparently? When the hell did things get so complicated!?

Monoma Neito stands bleary-eyed, stormy irises hazy with sleep, one cheek rosy from being pressed into the pillow, clothes rumpled, hair a disaster.
"Kirishima-?"
Before Neito can register what's happening even a little, Eijirou has stepped forward quickly, psyching himself up to the point of desperation.
Eijirou lifts his hands, big and rough and calloused, and cups Neito's smooth, lean face.
