    First of all, this is the first fanfic I've ever posted publicly.

    Secondly, I know this fandom is kind of a niche within a niche, but there are some amazing writers out there who have already added so much to what was already there. I'm inspired by you, and your headcanons and fix-its.

    I wanted a story featuring A’den and Ny, and also a romance that doesn’t feature a “nice girl” who Kal Skirata sets up with one of his eligible bachelor Null sons, because, well, where do I start? (I love these books for the most part; I really do.) There are some that got close, but I really had to write my own to get what I wanted. A’den is my favorite Null by light years, and I could go on at great length about why. I'd rather show than tell, though. I like Ny lots, too, and she deserves to be more than a love interest and late-in-life adoptive mom. OC came from the same place as Ny, in the story, and outside of it, too, probably. She’s an OC love interest largely because there aren’t any single blockade-running bad girls with checkered pasts in the source material, except as a joke. They’re Corellian because the culture fits, and it’s fun to write.

    This all happened a long time ago and also far away. Allegedly.

They have only one goal: get off Coruscant, stay hidden, keep everyone -- including the Younglings that made it out of the Temple -- alive. Naat Reath, already having faced down a Dark Acolyte of the Sith, lost two Masters, and is now pregnant with a father who fights for the Empire, barely holds it together. On the other side of the Galaxy, Arya Wooy's Master, known across the Outer Rim as "Jedi Bob" searches for his Padawan, in a Galaxy that was once his playground, now turned dark and hostile. Still others, including the Nelvaanian Akime Sen and the wounded, discharged clone trooper CT-0916, have to navigate a civilian's life in this new, darker, Galaxy. A Galaxy where nothing: not safety, not life, not victory, and not even the Force, are guaranteed. The Clone Wars are over. The peace that follows, everyone now finds, is much worse.
