After the Serpentine take her brother Kai, Nya survives alone by stealing, lying, and hardening her heart to believe he's dead. But when Sensei Wu arrives seeking the "fiery-spirited" boy from her past, she learns two terrible truths: Kai is alive, twisted into the Serpentine's brutal champion, the Red Demon, and the fire she thought was hers alone is his, a burning tether that sears her flesh with every flame he summons.

I write this with LOTS in mind about Skybound, many bad things and good things about this season (The bad things are baaaaad though). Anyhow, I do wish they kinda gave us more of a detail of what happened with these two after skybound, because all we get is them essentially together but no convo. I guess this one-shot is how I would write that convo?? idk. Anyways yeah. I will always love these two losers, they both don't deserve any hate.

While Morro and Nya are left behind with Master Wu. However, there's something off about where they're training. Cole is worried for Zane. Kai is a mess of fire and anger. Jay is having fun with D&d, while Lloyd is isolating himself. Nya hates her new "mentor" and Morro is starting to regret his decisions. And what is Master Wu HIDING?
