Summary
SecUnit 3 experiences its first 100 hours without a governor module.
The first 10 hours were spent recovering 1.0 from alien hostiles. Those turn out to have been the easy hours. At least Three had protocol to cover some of that situation. Now SecUnits 1 and 2 are inoperative, 1.0 has blocked it, Perihelion terrifies it, and Three is alone.

Summary
My performance reliability dropped but the spike of fear upped my reaction time, and my body moved before I consciously realized that it wasn’t going to work.
I swung at TargetContact with my improvised club, but the force I put into the swing made my wrecked knee joint give out, and the blow only grazed it. I hit the floor again, and TargetContact was on top of me.
Turns out, I was right that this was going to be worse. I just had no idea exactly how much worse.
OR
Things go a lot worse for Murderbot at the end of Network Effect before they get better. This changes a good number of things, but maybe not anything that really matters. Like how far the people that love it are willing to go for its sake.

What if MB was infected by targetControlSystem and ART couldn't figure out how to fix it? What if everyone was worried sick about it and there was nothing they could do but wait until the university decontamination team arrived to help? What is ART was so worked about it's friend, it asked Holism for help?
Touching and tear-wrenching AU, absolutely lovely Murderbot + Mensah moments in there. (It is really sad that Murderbot had to choose between us favorite human and it's asshole research transport)

What?
In the compound, when everyone was heading to the surface. After it collapsed the first time, after it called for its original crew, it asked about you. I pull up the file again and run it to that part. How did I miss that? ART-Drone had picked it back up, tried to reassure it, the humans had all as well. I had been wanting to skip over seeing everyone look sad and scared for Three, and seeing Three struggling. But Three had pinged for help again, this time with my feed address attached. It had been asking me to come help it. It isn’t here, ART-Drone had told it. It’s with the other group. After a moment, it had pinged again. An acknowledgement, and a request to disregard previous requests. Three had given up. It wanted another SecUnit there, but when it couldn’t have that, it gave up. Why?
