She had gotten these “lightning strikes” since as long as she could remember, but still didn’t really know what they meant. When she finally worked up the courage to ask, her mother had gently suggested that maybe that’s just how it felt to Ivy to develop a crush. It had made sense at the time, even if none of the other girls around her knew what she was talking about. Maybe Ivy just felt it differently - that was a thing, she was pretty sure. Maybe other girls got crushes like cotton candy or starlight or the first time going out with a new outfit on, but maybe Ivy wasn’t like other girls. Maybe she got crushes like lightning strikes.

As a trans man, I was absolutely flabbergasted, hornswaggled even, at the absolute lack of trans Bare fics. I tried to rectify it by making a trans Peter fic of my own. I hope you all enjoy this, it was partially to relieve my own dysphoria and hopefully it’ll help others in a similar way :)
