The Heroes of Ravengro arrive in Lepidstadt to find a city celebrating a victory: the menace known as the Beast of Lepidstadt has been captured and will be put on trial and summarily executed!
But mystery shrouds this celebration, one that lures the heroes in to investigate and defend this creature from the bloodthirsty mob that demands its death. With the city arrayed against them, they open old wounds and pursue forgotten secrets to uncover the truth of the Beast’s circumstances. Summary
This work is based on Paizo’s Carrion Crown Adventure Path and is a retelling with original characters.
He was their teacher. Their rescuer. Their friend. Now he’s gone—and the truth he died to reveal is clawing free of its grave.
In a land ruled by superstition and shadow, four wayward souls are summoned to the quiet village of Ravengro to lay Professor Petros Lorrimor to rest. But what begins as a solemn duty soon unearths a darkness older than Harrowstone’s scorched walls—something watching, waiting, whispering. And beneath the surface of this haunted prison lies the first crack in a secret built to hold a terror beyond imagining.
A crack that is growing.
What binds a skeptical magus, a sardonic mercenary, a cheerful gnome ranger, and a paladin of all things fermented to the same haunted crossroads? Maybe fate. Maybe something worse. As the veil between life and death wears thin, so too does the line between the ordinary and the unspeakable.
Harrowstone is only the beginning. Ustalav is about to be reminded what it truly means to fear the dark.

Summary
Harry Potter died. Abusive guardians, at worst negligent Magical Guardian, what more needs to be said?
Try Dudley gaining a conscience, actually praying to anyone who will listen, a second chance for Harry Potter, though perhaps not in the way some people think.
Pharasma has had enough with the incompetence of Wizards, but regrettably cannot do much due to her status as a True Neutral Deity of Death.
Though, that isn't to say that she can't interfere with certain other aspects, or to be more accurately, she can allow a certain tradition among her Psychopomps back in to play, to be more accurate among an agreement between a Yamaraj Psychopomp and an Oltehros Mother Psychopomp. If that's what it takes to give someone the life that they should have, then so be it. -

It was easier to think of that than the goddess who awaited her in the dry land of death, the one she had disappointed in her grief.
Kivran Sulla, champion of Iomedae and soul warden of Pharasma, has lost three companions in the same number of months, and she's just stopped saving Absalom long enough to grieve. The only person she can ask for advice is her mother, former adventurer and highly-placed paladin in the Seventh Church. Unfortunately, she's just about given up hope that her mother will approve. Of anything.
Takes place in the fifth book of Agents of Edgewatch, but there are no significant spoilers.
