    Pinocchio's stepfather Ben and elder adopted sister Asha are both *VERY* skeptical of the existence of spirits- Ben especially so ever since his first spouse Alyssa, a paranormal tour guide, died in a car accident; never mind that he more-or-less accepts *Fae/Fairies* and other kinds of magic dark, light, and grey just fine! ...But Pinocchio believes same as Geppetto, since Jiminy is a *BORN spirit* himself as well as Fae-touched.

    That lapse of faith is put to the test when an exorcist priest comes knocking and asks of Ben, "You wanna be *a HERO*??" And when a ghost mariner plus Jiminy Cricket follows them all home, therefore forcing Ben, Geppetto, 'Nocchi, Asha, Figaro, Cleo, Valentino, and their newest family member Tater-Tot back to the Gracey Manor in order to help Doctor Gabbie and her son Travis along with Madame Harriet, Father Kent, and Professor Bruce Davis against the evil entity hiding amongst the house dripping with souls... they've gotta FIGHT whether they like it or not, or else risk being the Haunted Mansion's 1000th soul trapped for all eternity by *HIM*.

    Pinocchio's life has been *HELL* ever since her dear sweet gentle beloved father died, her just-as-warm kind patient loving aunt was Cursed into a Sleeping Beauty/Snow White-esque sleep, and her cruel horrible once-Heartless semi-birthmother decided angrily "You want to be a *real GIRL* SO DAMN BADLY??! *Fine*- but we'll do it *MY way*...!" Her beautiful stepsister Lizina isn't too kind to her, either, for all she's supposed to be 'as good as she's beautiful'...

    She's also *EVERYTHING* 'Peppina' supposedly truly is, she's so 'ugly': lazy, cruel, mean, selfish, vain ...which means that she *DOESN'T succeed* with the nearby Colony of Cats and comes home a *MESS* as a result. (Even though it doesn't seem so at first.) Then it's PINOCCHIO'S turn- though she runs away instead of telling Madre where she's going (not like she'll care)...

    There, with Jiminy Cricket of course in tow, she not only meets the cats and Father Gatto, but *his daughter Henrietta Jekyll* and her mate Ms. Edna Hyde ...and becomes quite close to aforementioned sometimes-Fox and Cat, who in turn both become quite fond of the sweet fetching new little maid.

    We all know that *DISASTER* ensues and only gets WORSE in 'New Moon' when Bella accidentally gives herself a paper-cut while opening her birthday presents, triggering former vampire soldier Jasper's shaky blood-lust in response. Same thing yet not happens here- *something ELSE* happens when Bella's flung back against the table and nastily cuts *her ARM* on the shards of glass once known as a table that held her cake and presents. A *Glamour* is dropped, revealing the *TRUE* Bella Swan!!

    ...Or, rather, *someone else*.

    'New Moon' break-up happens afterwards, and STAYS that way, for Edward Cullen's own Glamour is dropped and memories come flooding back same for young *PINOCCHIO*. -But what happens when one of the Cullen family this time *stays behind* to still look after 'Bella' along with Chief Charlie Swan, Jacob Black, and a certain 'conscience' and his triplet brothers plus Chiara Belmagio AKA 'the Blue Fairy'/*Pinocchio's aunt*???

    Basically, a modern-day 'Carmilla' sans the later tragedy and one-sidedness.

Anne Hathaway plays a lot of similar characters to this 'Yoshioka Haru', and given the best-seller that's just released that features a brown-eyed brunette who's more akin to a Mary-Sue than, say, Belle from 'Beauty and the Beast'...     Solution, more-or-less: young Toon!Pinocchio from the Walt Disney Company is actually pretty much like their planned protagonist of 'The Cat Returns (semi-sequel/spin-off of 1995's 'Whisper of the Heart'), so- why not go with him?? After they get his father Geppetto's and Mickey Mouse's permission, of course...

    -Basically, an Actors!AU where Pinocchio is chosen/asked to play Heather in the new 'DreamWorks Dragons' TV series, and he plus an already-together Hiccup Haddock and Toothless fall HARD AND FAST for each other ...which neither Snoutlout nor Fishlegs much likes (although Fishlegs is much more respectful and more-or-less understanding towards the matter, even though it *HURTS*). Too bad, boys-!
