Young Alice has been missing for more than a few days, now, and her parents, beloved twin-six-years-older Lizzie, cat companions Dinah and Figaro, and orphaned adopted cousin Pinocchio are *HEARTSICK* with worry. Scotland Yard has no leads whatsoever- it seems as though the young girl has just vanished into thin air! The Liddells weep nightly, and Pinocchio tosses and turns in his sleep as *TERRIFYING* dreams flit through his head lit up with teary brilliant green eyes and mussed tousled dark auburn hair while a very familiar white pinafore apron and favorite blue dress are torn up and stained with rose petals white and red...
Until one day when the *SECOND Alice* tumbles down-down-down the Rabbit Hole, and like the First comes across an anthropomorphic insect singing to himself while seated on a giant mushroom. But there is no pipe-and-hookah, and no snobby vile nastiness; therefore, "*sing away*, Cricket, as you please, and *as LONG* as you please*!" as an innocent puppet-boy once more gives into Temptation in order to save his and Lizzie's 'triplet', lest they *FOREVER* lose her to hysteric insanity...

You would think that his toymaker father Geppetto and conscience Jiminy Cricket would be there with him, too...!
But Sorrow can come to *ANY family* no matter how happy- for almost ten years now, Geppetto has been lost to the darkness of 'where the lost things go', and Jiminy has been seen NOWHERE ever since that fateful *DREADFUL* night when he and Pinocchio were separated by the Coachman's carriage back in Collodi...But all of that will change when both Giselle and 'Little Woodenhead'/'Pinoke(s)' are 'accidentally' pushed down a magical well to New York City in order to stop the former from marrying Prince Edward- where *why YES*, Narissa; there REALLY ARE *HAPPY endings* in this place! *Made ya look*!! Alice is SMITTEN head-over-heels when she first meets Pinocchio, and thinks that he must be for her as well- he's just rather bashful and shy as well as genuinely sweet! She doesn't push it, though- she waits (semi)patiently until they're a bit older and have just started to be romantically written together and paired the same way for 're-castings' of movies even though it started out as a 'crack ship'. *Then*, one day after "*CUT*!!!" is called, she makes a move ...oh, dear.
Turns out, he's a guy who's in love with *ANOTHER guy*; he's *HONESTLY* TRIED (and not at all at the behest/request of his 'conscience' Jiminy Cricket or aunt/mother-figure 'the Blue Fairy', despite the "Straight And Narrow Path" thing in canon), but he's *NOT* *into GIRLS*- ONLY other guys AKA 'Real Boys'. -*OUCH*....
Alice tries to miserably commiserate with her 'cousin'/'twin' Wendy, but she and Peter are simply just *VERY good* friends, and she's in a relationship with Tiger-Lily! (Which, yes, both of their fathers are quite alright with, thankyouverymuch.) Tinkerbell's not quite so heartbroken, either, and for the same reasons as 'Wendy-bird'.

Just because someone's traditionally pretty does not always mean that they are as genuinely nice as they look, and 'ugly' isn't always *NASTY*- again, inside matching outside.
Basically, a Shrek/Cinderella/Pinocchio!AU and crossover where Shrek and Pinocchio were born human (meaning neither were ever respectively an ogre or live stringless wooden puppet), Geppetto is Pinocchio's *GRAND-father*, Fiona and Shrek are just good friends, the girl known as 'Cinderella' is *NOT so nice*, the stepmother and stepsisters aren't evil, ...and it's a 'peaches and cream' Big Bright Beautiful World with possibilities *somewhere* despite an 'ogre' and a 'puppet's' eventual love-story being complicated due to one's dysfunctional family.

The way that Mowgli looks at him and talks to him reminds the 'ex-puppet' *all too well* of how ...*HE* used to, before he was Dipped along with Honest John, Gideon, and the Coachman way back when. Needless to say, Pinocchio's *TERRIFIED*; and though he's gay as Dorothy Gale's place over the rainbow, he *feels NOTHING WHATSOEVER* towards Mowgli save for fear, disgust, and anger...
But he's not alone in this dark place that he's suddenly found himself in as he fears- Father does not chuckle and wink, the Rivera Family is raring and READY with their no-blisters boots in hand, his *TRUE friends* including his pseudo godparents are *FURIOUS* ...and a certain dark-haired green-eyed 'case of bad luck' with a pure kind heart whom he meets the same time as Mowgli is by his side all the while-! When Geppetto becomes very sick and passes away, a now-teen Pinocchio is sent to live in Forks, Washington in the USA with his father's friend Chief Charlie Swan. Bella's homesick (and not fond of him), Pinocchio's homesick AND *grieving*, and Charlie is doing his very best for them both.
First (new) day of school, we all know how Swan and Cullen meet and dangerously dance around each other ...but when Peter Rhaebert Pan-Cullen and Pinocchio Edward Benjamin Caspari meet each other and fall hard and fast, *Peter* will be drinking his daily and nightly glass of medicine; in other words, his respect-juice, and Pinocchio will (mostly) patiently wait until Peter's ready to tell him about himself!
'Twilight' basically, but with boys being cute and sweet with each other and kissing happening *sooner* rather than later-! *Oh*!! And Wendy Darling is Peter's twin plus Leah Clearwater's mate- let's give the girls some love, too!

Humbert Humbert is overcome with lust at first sight by Dolores Haze, of course ...but 'tis Geppetto Caspari who is *smitten as heaven* with young Pinocchio- and the same with the elder male, though much of society would not see it that way. He's twelve, the same age as 'Lola'- however, unlike his cousin, Geppetto has only ever desired ONE *FAUN-let*, and he did not know that he did so until Walt Disney's second animated full-length feature film came onscreen in 1940; though he did not think that he existed...
He's a comely child, yes- but it is his sweet heart and kind soul -the opposite of coarse often bratty 'Lolita'- combined with his quirky charming boyish beauty that captures the woodcarver...
Pinocchio KNOWS that he *should NOT* feel this way towards one more than half his age, especially one who looks *SO* OLD, -but he cannot help himself anymore than 'Mr. Geppy' can. He's head-over-heels, and his Papa knows this; though unlike 'Lottie', he has (next to) no problems with it, because he *KNOWS* that Geppetto will take *VERY good* care of his precious 'Pinoke'...!

-Well, Pinocchio's certainly NOT *bad*, -but he *WAS* accidentally Drawn Officially with his donkey ears and tail, which most other Toons don't really like and sometimes even make fun of him for. His closest friends and family could *care LESS*, however ...and that includes his 'conscience' Jiminy Cricket.
When 'Pinoke' is told that he's *UN-attractive* with his not-supposed-to-be-there appendages by someone who wanted to date him (even though he himself wasn't interested), he's VERY *hurt*. But Jiminy knows that *TRUE beauty* is within the heart/soul, and Pinocchio's own is especially bright, warm, pure, and sweet; he tells him so, and in doing so begins to heal his heart in more ways than one...
