Reed throws up his hands in exasperation and clicks his tongue in disappointment. “Let’s go, dipshit,” he says. He quickly makes his way out of the office, passing Connor, but pauses to hold the door for the android. Connor, still in his original spot by the door, stares at Reed in shock. He crinkles his nose, bewildered by the total change in his newly appointed partner's behaviour. “You coming, or what?” Reed continues.

Connor took a moment, LED flashing, before he turned around and smiled neutrally, “What do you mean, Hank? Their garden is doing so well this year, I should put these in a vase-”
“Hold it,” Hank called, causing the android to freeze on his way to the kitchen. “Don’t give me that nonsense, Connor. You know I’m a great detective and you’re a terrible liar.” Hank spoke slowly, as if his partner currently needed small words, “Why. Was Markus acting. So weird.”
Connor gets caught, Hank gets a revelation, and Markus is having a great morning.

Ever since he had accepted himself as a deviant, his life has been going smoothly. Connor serves his purpose with his people. He never felt happier, well he should've felt happy. But, something inside him is crying, longing for an old friend he cherishes more than anything in the world.
Lieutenant Anderson. Hank. Whichever one, he adores immensely. He hasn't realised his feeling was far from simple affection or adoration, it was love. He wanted to see Hank Anderson. He wants to see him so badly.
