Project Gestalt had been a desperate attempt orchestrated by mankind to save themselves from the White Chlorination Syndrome. It failed, having been riddled with issues that had been unsolvable in the time humanity had left.
However, Project Gestalt had not been the o n l y effort made to save mankind.
And now, just when 2B and 9S had found peace, one of humanity’s many contingencies kicked into action; ready to uproot the brittle tranquility that had formed on earth.
What lies ahead are more lies, more deception, more pain, and no guarantee that the two will recover from what is about to come.
