He comes to a bridge, a lonely sentinel lit by dying orange lights. The echoes of his footsteps against dirtied cobbles resound under the arches of the bridge, quickly fading into nonexistence. There’s a figure at the other end of the bridge: a man, a little thinner than his height should dictate. As Hannibal approaches, peering through the light mist that mills about the bridge, he finds his eye drawn to the man in a way it hasn’t been drawn to another before.
Everything is transient; nothing lasts forever. This, Hannibal believes and accepts. But one night while walking the streets of Paris, he happens upon a lovely young man offering up his body; and in snatching him up for a night, Hannibal finds that perhaps there are some things he’d prefer last forever.
Or, Will is a down-on-his-luck sex worker and Hannibal his very eager customer.

The screen opens to a profile, like an enlarged business card. Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a former surgeon, with PHDs in neurology, neurological engineering, and psychology. Of course, Will already knew the name.
How could he not?
Lecter was written on the side of his head. Small imprinted script announcing the brand of computer in Will’s head. The good doctor was the retired CEO of Chesapeake Readings. While Hannibal Lecter had not invented the computer in Will’s head, many would argue he perfected the design.
And he was playing babysitter with an FBI profiler.
