Sia has never been a healer. She can lay claim to many Ways, but Healing is not among them. However, needs must in situations like this. Dakkar is unavailable at the moment—Sia may not be able to heal Margaret magically, but she can staunch and deal with the wounds until he gets here. A society where only Healers can help would be unsustainable.
Golden blood drips down a scrape on Margaret’s forehead, as Sia dabs a cleaning swab at it. Margaret hisses, instinctively, as the cleansing magic baked in stings at her skin.
“Ways, Margaret, what were you thinking?”

Who knew one word can shake such a tenacious woman so easily? He's certain he used her given name before as well, which does not reduce the peculiar phenomenon that is it all; there's an almost foreign feeling of her name on his tongue, and yet it is so oddly comfortable it is for him.

He has to be prepared. He’s grabbed his finest robes, glimmering white like the reflection of the sea, and his most well-kept golden cloak, brilliant as the Sun above. They match perfectly, presenting the image of a star on earth—not hyperbole, for he still remembers Margaret saying as such when she’d first seen him in this outfit. He remembers how much Margaret had loved him in white and gold—honestly, some of those memories even make him flush to think on. He may have been the wordsmith, but no one could deny she also had skill in that area.
Samuel has never been one who cares too deeply about physical appearance. But he also knows he looks good, as he twists and turns for the mirror. His smile is blazing-bright, as he takes that in.

Then, he sighs, cheeriness replaced by annoyance. “Really? Another one of your moods already? And here I thought you were actually getting over all of this.”
Dakkar scoffs. It comes out far too wet, far too weak. “Apologies that I’m distraught after murdering multiple innocent people, Kalfu.” Apologies for being horrified I enjoyed it.

Kal certainly does not jerk up, startled. Whoever says that is a liar who doesn’t know what they’ll have coming to them next if they ever bring it up. He turns to look at wherever that strange voice is coming from, calmly.
He’s not really expecting the sight he spots next.
Kal’s never been one to mince words. The man in front of him looks like one of the most naive, pompous fools he’s ever seen. The cloak he wears looks very little like a sailor’s outfit, with its deep golden hue, and gleaming buttons across its front. The salt water residue on it makes it almost sparkle. In fact, it almost looks like it’s…pulsing? Maybe just a trick of the light. Kal notices another golden glint on his finger, and can’t help but eye the carefully crafted ring. It looks expensive, as he notes a sun engraved upon its middle, rays of light spiralling out across the metal. The smile he wears is bright, clear even in the faint light of the lanterns. Warm and inviting.
