From the beginning all the way until the end of the game.This will be a slow slow slow burn. It will also involve much more cannon Forgotten Realms lore than most fanfiction does, as I was sucked into a rabbit hole while trying to do only cursory research for this and have now taken accuracy around my eventual smut as a challenge.
I will update the tags as we go along but Durge has intense intrusive thoughts, Raphael did horrible things to Enver, they're going to kill a loooooootttttt of people, and -eventually- Enver and Durge hold hands.

Below you, the ground is cool, damp, yet sticky, like something other than water pools beneath you.
You hear another voice, clearer to you, unlike that of what you can only assume is family, or friends, or lovers, or mere companions beside you begging for you to get up. It’s shaky, yet stern, like the hum of life itself is within it. It sends chills down your body, and threatens to jolt you out of existence altogether.
“So, rise, Challenger of Gods, and prepare for battle once more.”

He can’t ask Gale for help. Gale might have the best chance of finding any sort of cure to his current undesirable condition, but he doesn’t want to turn to him. Something about being vulnerable and in need in front of Gale grates at Astarion’s mind.
He isn’t accustomed to anyone standing up for him like this, not without wanting something in return. And the thought that he could, just for once, lean into that—lean on him—sits uncomfortably close to tempting.
