"Just one hint," Malevola pleaded. Prism leaned against her chair, eyeing Robert expectantly.
Robert stared at them briefly, deliberating over his response. He settled on honesty. They wouldn't believe him, and they wouldn't be able to link it to his identity as Mecha Man anyway.
"Sure. I can't die."
Prism sighed in frustration. "Oh come on! Don't be like that."

Two words had made Chase the most angry he’d ever been in years.
And they weren’t even directed at him.
They were directed at the nine year old boy, bleeding and broken in his arms, crying.

After Visi killed Shroud and his studio apartment was burned down, Robert thinks he has lost everything he cared about. The way he went about fixing the city didn't work. Maybe there is another way? (English is not my first language, so please excuse the grammar.)

"He doesn't want to see you right now, Chase."
Chase blinked, taken aback. "...What?"
Robbie sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, "Fuck, I don't know what's up with him but he's being difficult. Maybe a break will do you both some good. You especially, you've been falling behind, Chase."

Summary
The man was in a suit that almost reminded Robert of something from Cirque du Soleil, all skin-tight, shimmering fabric with bursts of red and orange and a V-neck that showed a lot more than neck. The wrap-around sunglasses didn’t even look that ridiculous.
Infuriatingly, he managed to be beautiful, like a Monet in an Ikea frame is beautiful. He had changed very little in the years since Robert first encountered him, at least physically. Robert couldn’t say the same.

Tack Star felt his whole body freeze. The way that the man’s hands curled around his son’s was a touch that Track Star knew he couldn’t replicate. The way that the young boy’s bald little head was tucked into his dad’s chest. Track Star couldn’t even think about doing that without guilt. He looked up from the boy’s sleeping face to his father’s. They looked so similar yet so distinct.
“You do realise that the whole fuckin’ point of me not having kids is to not have kids, right?” Track Star asked with a small smile on his face. He tried to play it off with humour, like most things. But his friend was serious. He was looking out onto the lake, a thoughtful look on his face. It was twisted in an upset way, his eyes vacant and upset.
“He needs you.” Track Star addressed, simply, almost scared. His friend took a deep breath.
“I’m not saying I’m going to die tomorrow,” He began, his gaze fixing on the calm water. “But someday, it might happen.”

Robert's childhood is non-standard in all of the wrong ways. There's expectations placed on him that no other kid his age has to struggle with. He finds solace with the only other "member" of the Brave Brigade who feels like an outsider.
Or, Elliot Conners is more of a father to Robert than Robbie ever could be. These things leave their mark.

Summary
The last most citizens of Hyrule heard, Link and Princess Zelda had gone missing just before the Upheaval began. Those few patrolling Lookout Landing could tell you they had seen him fall from one of the newly formed islands in the sky, but not where he landed.
Even fewer could tell you of the wicked-red Gloom that had corrupted his body, and how it glowed in the pitch-black nothingness of the Depths he stalked.
No one could tell you how they were going to bring him home. Yet.

Summary
A fight with a reality bender and an overloaded Astral Pulse lands Robert and his Mechaman suit into a different universe altogether, one where his dad never died and Mechaman Astral was still in active duty.
It should be a kinder universe with one less tragedy, but it's not. Not when this universe's Robert had died young instead.

Summary
Everyone knows that the Mecha Man legacy has been protecting LA for 50 years. First Prime, then Astral, and at last Blue. Shroud, having killed Mecha Man Astral 15 years ago, nearly killed Mecha Man Blue after his release. How the story ends with Mecha Man Blue, Robert Robertson the Third, avenging his father and saving the day with the Z-team.
And in this one, that fated day changed everything. The stories were told wrong, tainted in blood and lies. Shroud never killed Mecha Man Astral, a lie formed by a man he once called his friend. No, that dreaded night ended with all of the Brave Brigade dead save for TrackStar and Shroud. Shroud was arrested for crimes that were never his to begin with, and years later, a villain would rise from the ashes, one known as Optimus. One with a daunting fascination with Mecha Man that would eventually lead to Mecha Man Blue falling 15 years later.
Four months after the explosion, Robert joined SDN as a dispatcher, expecting a semi-normal life until his suit was finished. What he didn’t know at the time was that the new dispatcher, who was released on parole, would be a face that he could never get out of his nightmares.
