Summary
We elected a president and got an authoritarian. The president's voice crackles through the radio speakers as he makes his announcement: magic has been outlawed.
I’m a walking target so long as I have this wild magic. I am ruled by my fear. I keep my head bowed and hope that nobody notices me as each day passes, and so far my prayers have gone answered. This is the only thing left I have to be thankful for. The president’s motives are not mine to know, but what he wanted was clear, and he’s got it. I live in pure, unadulterated fear with my townsfolk, my co-workers, my neighbors. It’s all the same.
My only respite comes in the form of a mechanical man that's existed for centuries thanks to his magic, but releasing his soul is a daunting task. Especially when the mage that took his original body holds a prominent place in the government and swears Link Coutts killed Hylian Impressionism.

Summary
Set primarily three years after the defeat of Calamity Ganon, Link, Zelda, and the new generation of Champions must fight a strange enemy, all while trying to keep themselves in one piece and working with a major disadvantage.
(This work does mostly ignore Tears of The Kingdom, and can kinda be viewed as taking place between the two games, but in no way is that a required view to have.)
(This is a work in progress and so obviously more chapters will be added, as well as a few edits to previous chapters, but no story elements or events will be changed in those edits.)

But that was when she felt a small kick.
Secre stared at the blood-soaked dress. One of them had survived. And her eyes— the mother still stayed strong, desperate to keep her child alive. They could do this. With a little bit of Sealing Magic, her wounds could be restricted long enough to get her to a proper doctor.
“Sealing Magic: Closed Sorrow—!”
She felt it before it happened. A flux in Forbidden Magic, causing her magic to go out of control. Secre tried canceling the spell, but it was too late.
Tetia had disappeared.

A lone woman stumbled into the Great Deku Tree’s grove, exhausted and heavily wounded. With foreign words, she pleaded the sentient tree to adopt her remaining child…
