Aube was honestly just trying to live her life as a simple kargarok wrangler/Sol maintenance worker in her little village in the Twilight Realm when all the little oddities of her life caught up to her at once - So what if she was the village weirdo, with how she was always seeing someone else in the mirror, how she never quite looked like the other Twili? “It’ll only be two more days after that, then we’ll be back on the road,” Colonel points out.
“That is not comforting information,” Twilight glowers.
Colonel smiles, rolling over so he’s on his back and closer to Twilight. Seeing Twilight standing there, strong arms crossed, bare and shameless in the candlelight – something stirs just slightly. And he’s still clearly put out by the situation… Colonel gets an idea.
He takes his scarf in both hands, fabric sagging between, and ever so swiftly loops it around Twilight’s back and pulls.

Colonel and Twilight are finally in the comfortable luxury of Twilight's Hyrule castle, and decide to take advantage of both the bath, and bed, provided. Set in some nebulous quest the two of them are on - no prior context required.
