Summary
Something remarkable happened to Lucy and Logan due to happenstance and tension. Remarkable… and frightening? Well, perhaps it was something more with how quickly Lucy bolted. She apparently had to handle much more than simply coming to terms with her feelings for the yakboy.
However, when life hands you surprises… you make something extraordinary? That was well-due proof for the builder. Now, Lucy has to figure out life, love, and the trials of not being completely honest about… well, everything.
Can she figure it out with her yakboy, or must she make her family work? She’s a builder, but there might not be any fixing this fence post. Considering her first plan was never to fall in love in Sandrock, and her second… well, it wasn’t this.
AN: Decided to take what happens in The Weary Wilds and move it before Cornered Beasts for funsies! Hehe, chaos reigns supreme with a writer who likes to make them squirm!

In order to get myself back into the habit of writing again and force myself to write outside of inconsistent waves of brainrot, every day* of my winter break, I'm planning on doing a warmup exercise:
Spin a wheel of all the MTAS characters (including my builder Wis) twice, and write a short oneshot (limit 1000 words) involving both of those characters.

I'm trying to get out of a writing slump after my most recent fic kinda took a lot out of me, and I'm also trying to get myself to write some less angsty content just to...prove to myself that I can, I guess. So, this seemed like a good idea.

Close to three years on the run. A couple weeks in the crucible of a Duvosian invasion. Five days in Sandrock's jail.
Without fanfare, Logan's future is suddenly now. He knows he's got Haru and Andy. He knows he wants Lucy.
But when she welcomes him home with open arms, Logan's first day as an ostensibly absolved man becomes a day spent excavating the past and sharing secrets he'd tried to bury under years of sand.
This story is a prequel to Birds of Paradise. My goal with this fic is to share my take on Logan and Lucy's first free day together in the immediate aftermath of Logan's return to society. If I've done a decent job with it, it will be intimate, emotionally heavy, sweet, and eventually steamy.
We'll be dealing with some intense themes, including serious injuries, near-death experiences, and references to past suicidal ideation. Please mind the TWs in chapter notes. 💙

·第二人称叙事且不指定工坊主性别的纯爱日常，欢迎各位医生家属自由带入。
·于微博和小红书首发于2024年3月末，本次搬运修正了一些时间上的谬误和名字的误记，因此写作“修正版”。
·每位工坊主推剧情的时间顺序各有差别（行文需要个别段落甚至都没严格按照触发顺序写），主线和支线交织的方式以笔者自己推剧情时的进度为准，并辅以一些受限于系统而无法在游戏中实现的互动演绎，所以千万不要说“啊这和我推剧情的顺序不一样”之类的话。
