Summary
If you've told Sapnap that he'd be up against goddamn zombies of all things with a group of people he barely knew, he'd laugh at you.
Or atleast, he did laugh at the man, Karl, who showed up and told him that about three years ago.
Now tho? Now, he just hopes that whatever saviour Karl mentioned can actually help them.
OR
Sapnap is a loner, he stays away from people and sticks with his team. Karl, seeing the awful future, used his powers and might not have long left to fix everything due to his bad health.
Punz...well, he seems to be having some fun atleast.
According to Karl, to fix everything, they should find each and every member of the perfect team.
Assemble it together and make sure they all live.
Worst thing? They would still need to find a guy who's powers can fix this while knowing nothing about him.
Then, they must get that one guy to actually be on their side. Find out who he is in the first place.
But....once they do find him, Sapnap realizes that maybe he shouldn't have listened to the time traveller, afterall. Because....he can't pretend like he is not falling for the supposed saviour.

Quackity sat in his library, reading another book he found on slimes. His wings were out but slumped and weak, the feathers all gross and out of place. Reading was all he cared about, not the state of his wings… and, for the most part, had consumed his entire life. Reading every book he could.
His routine was simple. Wake up, Sapnap would come over to dress his burns, eat breakfast forced by Sam, read a book for hours, Sapnap would dress his burns again, he’d eat dinner — this time forced by Foolish instead — and then he’d go to sleep.
He would do nothing else. Sam had tried to get him to eat lunch multiple times, but it would almost always go uneaten. He didn’t care about all of that. Breakfast and dinner were all he needed; he didn’t need to eat lunch or any of that bullshit. It simply didn’t matter.
Nothing mattered more than figuring out how to help Charlie.

“Right there, that’s the warrior,” Dream says, pointing up at the stars. Sapnap follows the finger with his eyes.
The stars reflect in his eyes as they usually do this late at night. Sapnap watches as a firefly buzzes past, his gaze following it before turning back to the stars.
By this point, Dream has lowered his arm and wrapped it around Sapnap’s shoulder, tugging him closer as if to protect him from the cold of the night. Sapnap shivers as a particularly strong breeze blows by them.
“It’s beautiful,” Sapnap says almost absentmindedly, too focused on what Dream will say next.
When Dream runs away from the village that he and Sapnap grew up in their whole lives to go fight the ender dragon, Sapnap joins a group of manhunters that are looking for him, and he meets a pretty boy along the way.

Everything burned. He felt like he was trapped in something and all his skin was burning off. Hot and fucking boiling. He wanted to scream and cry. It hurt so much.
Why the fuck did everything hurt so much? Why did it feel like his body was on fire? Why did he feel so trapped?
He tried to stretch his wings out — maybe fly away from whatever the fuck was hurting him — when the realization hit him, and his head whipped around to his left side, and hurt panged in his heart. He wasn't in danger anymore. The danger had already passed.
That was evident by a nub of what his wing used to be, messily wrapped up in bandages.
What was left was just the base of the wing. It was gone…
His wing was gone.

He heard shouting, both from Sam and Sapnap, but he didn’t listen. He exited the prison in a rush, trying to get to Las Nevadas as fast as he could. He needed to get away from all this. He barely made it to the area before he broke down and just collapsed. He couldn’t produce any tears, but he shook. What had he done? What had he fucking done?
