Summary
In the crater, he'd seen it all. Dangerous predators, Hostile plants, Deadly bacteria, and An ancient alien civilisation that crumbled long before he arrived. But there's only so much one can do in a 5-kilometre crater that is surrounded by an empty barren ocean, with only so many resources to use.
Going home is not an option, there is only one last option, an unused warp gate deep in the Volcano zone. There's no telling where it leads or if it's safe, but it's better than staying here.
The Nektons are in for a big surprise when they find someone who hates and fears the ocean just as much as they love it.

Summary
When Fontaine challenges him to be sorry or to be a pirate, Finn makes his choice, but somehow gets kicked off both the Aronnax and the Dark Orca. Joining the Nektons is still his hope, but first he has to convince them that he's really a good guy.
Luckily, he's got Fontaine on his side. Ghostly shenanigans, lost languages, ninja teenagers, near-death experiences, and curses abound as everyone's favorite pirate tries to find his place in the vast ocean.

Summary

I think that hammerhead would not be a very good father in real life, I mean, just look at the way he treats them!

After rescuing Finn and Maddy from a flooding Red Claw, the Nektons discover why exactly they were down there and what caused it. Kaiko isn't a condoner of murder, but at this point Hammerhead has it coming. Fontaine's just happy that Finn is okay. Ant is suspicious, but he's warming up to the idea of pirates on the Arronax. Maddy just wants to go home. And Will doesn't know how to parent a traumatized and distressed teenager who hides his feelings through humor.
