Mephiles is a king of darkness, a king of unusual power. One day a knight from a far kingdom invades and heads straight for the dark king. The knight deems Mephiles to be villainous and vows to finish him. Unfortunately Mephiles was forced to flee. This leads him to be an outcast and his kingdom to be destroyed. Later Mephiles visits his kingdom and sees it's gone to ruin and sees many of his people slaughtered and the ones under his protection murdered. This leads to Mephiles vowing to get revenge on the knight that forced his kingdom to ruin, by creating the very thing he swore to forget, Solaris.

Summary
Dr. Eggman has come to the island nation of Soleanna after a mysterious figure tells him of a new god he can control there. Sonic and company attempt to stop him from using the Scepter of Darkness, but that fails, and the fat doctor gets a new ally for himself in the form of Mephiles the Dark. Now Sonic and Shadow and the others have to stop Eggman from creating the Sun god Solaris and making a new world for himself. Along the way, they’ll get help from an alternate reality hedgehog that has come to their world to stop this event from occurring.

When the monster that brought on the apocalypse proves to be too much for the duo to handle, Blaze seals the beast within herself and uses its power to send Silver back in time to when 'the blue wind' supposedly caused the fires to spread. Armed with only his psychokinetic abilities and a vague prophecy, Silver sets off on a journey to find whatever, or whoever is responsible for the end of the world.
