I’m doing good, I’m on some new shit
“Are you ready Keith?”
Been saying yes instead of no
“It’s been a year since I saw everyone together. We’ve all been so busy.” He says, looking at the screen showing earth.
He’s standing at the edge of the cliff now. The one where everything started.
“Lost your touch kiddo? Need me to hold your hand?” Comes a cheeky voice, teasing the air around him.
I hit the Sunday matinee
They’re sitting in the shack, huddled in blankets, the light from the old tv casting a white glow.
“Why do you do this every time?” Keith asks, turning to the mop of light brown hair peeking out of the blankets.
Lance is smiling brightly, his arms nudging Keith.
Keith feels a genuine smile burst up in his face, looking back at bright blue eyes.
And it’s alright now
“Do you miss it Keith? Being paladins?”
