Summary

Escape a murderous employer before it is too late. Wreak bloody havoc to revenge your dead friends. Without anybody to trust, they are each faced with a suicide mission. But fate tends to work in funny ways.
Or, alternatively: Kurapika, Kuroro, and Theta walk into a bar. Uneasy alliances are forged, princes are assassinated, and everybody has a very, very bad time.

Dark eyes flashing mischief. “Does that make me the whore then?”
His nose wrinkles. "What the fuck is wrong with you, Lucilfer?"

Chrollo detaches from himself, looks at Kurapika with dead eyes, an empty face. “He killed some of us,” he says softly. “Weak, proud men don’t take their losses well, it seems.”
There is a short pause. Chrollo does not come back to himself.
“Are you talking about him, or about yourself?”
Kurapika is smiling. Chrollo stares at him. It’s a cruel, sharp, wild thing, carved like a crescent moon stretched too far.
“Look, Lucifer,” he says quietly. “How does it feel?”

Summary
After her adoptive parents are brutally murdered by the Phantom Troupe, Haruka Utashima vows to avenge her late parents, while also working towards her goal of finding out who her biological parents are. Everything changes when she meets Kurapika Kurta, a young man who has the same motive of hunting down the troupe. Over time, the two become close with one another and begin to form a bond.
But when Haruka begins to regain memories of her forgotten past, her true origins are revealed. Kurapika learns that he's not alone and Haruka realizes that she's not who she thought she was.
