“No shit,” Coral answers bluntly. Normally it’s hard to be mean to Dill, but there are two minutes left on her break and she’s too pissed to mince words.

Winning the Hunger Games was supposed to mean freedom. From everything. But that wasn't true. Winning the Hunger Games meant a lifetime of pain, of being bought out, of sending kids to their death. Deep down, everyone knew that. But, when Treech sees his newest tribute for the 49th games, just for once he has a little bit of hope.
