Summary
He had always seen himself as a human. He was, in a way, more human than the others. He could eat, he could sleep.
Unlike the Curator, unlike The Timekeeper, unlike Stanley.Perhaps it was the idea of just being a character to others that destroyed him. The fact that his dreams and wishes were nothing more than lines of code working in a predetermined path.
It wasn't predetermined though, the glow in his chest proved that. The walls of the parable, the power of this world and the next, all at his fingertips. But not all limitations are physical.
And he loves the idea of being real.

Summary
In their endless game of cat and mouse, of button-pushing both literal and metaphorical, The Narrator thought there was no such thing as a step too far. How many times has Stanley thrown himself off those stairs, anyway? Or blown both of them up with nuclear explosives? (The Narrator isn’t to blame for creating them, of course. It’s Stanley that keeps deciding to turn the thing on.)
But this time, The Narrator goes too far. He invents a button. Records some lines, editing them to repeat endlessly. Lies through his teeth.
And Stanley falls hook, Line™, and sinker.

With a tear in his heart and the absence of something in his mind.Stanley awoke to a narrating voice that begged him to remember something he just couldn’t remember.

Summary
“Stanley was fat and ugly and really, really stupid.”
The words rung in Stanley’s ears as though he were back in the broom closet, rather than sitting at his desk after yet another reset.
“Stanley was fat and ugly-”
Stanley looked down at his stomach, rolling up his shirt and pulling at the skin with his hands. Was he fat? He didn’t feel fat… Oh, god, he was fat, wasn’t he? Of course, he could see it now, as he held flabs of skin between his fingers. His eyes widened, his heart dropping.
Has he always been fat?

Summary
"We're free! Stanley, we're-" The Narrator's face dropped in sorrow as the realization hit him. His eyes fell on the man in question. Stanley simply stood there, unmoving in front of the skip button, no different than an inanimate object. He felt a lump form in his throat as he approached the man. Right, Stanley was still stuck in a skip while he had to wait years for him to come back. That damned skip button. He still has deep regret for that.

A collapsed ceiling, a bright light, and a new hope.

Time passes on, and still not a single glance to relieve The Narrator of his solitude.
And that damned button, how it glows in the dark, like a grin dripping with malice.
