The familiar deep voice that was always guiding him felt rather strange this time.
It was a bit odd, sometimes shaky and was one to three seconds late compared to his usual speech-speed.Stanley knew perfectly well all the endings and narration that came with them, and he also knew the perfect frames and timings of the Narrator’s voice.
It was really rare when the Narrator would talk about something else than his story and Stanley knew about this.
He himself never talked, or barely, because as stated previously in the Not-Stanley Ending, Stanley had been trained to not talk for the sake of the game, or whatever was it.Stanley knew that well.
The Game was the same all over again, and again, there was no end.
Well the end is never the end.
So, every disturbance in their little (but not so little) ship felt like a knife being twisted back and forth in his insides.That’s why he didn't spare a minute when he heard the Narrator screaming for help, before his world, their whole world went dark.

"Let's see, let's see…No, not that one. No, we can't do that…" he mused, not seeming to find the answers he was looking for. He gave up soon enough, throwing the papers onto the desk as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Nope, not a single script for the 'Stanley Clips Through The Ceiling and Ends Up In The Narrator’s Office Ending'. Well, isn't that just fantastic?"
The Narrator plopped down in his chair in a way that bordered on the theatrical, a low sound of defeat escaping him.
"Damn it all, Stanley," he said, gaze fixed on the ceiling as if he couldn't bear to look Stanley in the eye.
"I didn't want to have to do this, but we'll have to go completely off script until I sort out this mess you've…we've made. Should be no problem for you, you're a master at improvising."

Stanley was an ordinary office worker who fell into depression after the departure of his beloved wife. His story could have ended tragically, but suddenly… he appeared on the doorstep of the most talented psychiatrist at the local mental hospital. Involuntarily, of course, but the crux of the matter is whether Henry Narr will help our dear patient or… Wait! Should psychiatrists help patients in this way?

Summary
When the skip button ending concludes and the Narrator is driven over the edge of insanity, Stanley ends up in the epilogue. Once Stanley finds the computer and talks to TK (Timekeeper/Employee 432/Settings Person), they pull Stanley through the screen and into the Void. Without the Narrator, Stanley can speak freely, and Stanley and TK dont exactly have the friendliest chat.
