Um das Pilzkönigreich vor Schimpf und Schande zu bewahren, muss Paper Mario sich auf die Suche nach den Origamisternen machen. Zunächst tritt er diese Reise alleine an, befindet sich aber sehr schnell in nicht ganz alltäglicher Gesellschaft, auf die er bald nicht mehr verzichten kann und will. Nur Luigi scheint diesmal seinen eigenen Dickkopf zu haben.

Eine Entführung fand im Pilzkönigreich statt! Das ist an sich erst einmal nichts Besonderes, zumindest auf den ersten Blick. Doch bald schon stellt sich heraus, dass die Prinzessin diesmal nicht das einzige Opfer, Toadtown nicht die einzige betroffene Stadt ist. Verwirrend genug, ebenso wie die Bedrohung, die von ganz unerwarteter Seite kommt.
(Daisy erscheint hier mit voller Absicht etwas grob und misstrauisch Cookie gegenüber. Allerdings nicht, weil ich sie für eine blöde Kuh halte, die ich gemein darstellen will. Daisy traut Cookie und deren Vergangenheit einfach nicht über den Weg. Die Prinzessin fürchtet um ihre guten Freude, um ihre Familie zu der Peach und auch die Brüder zählen. Sie will sie schützen und stellt sich deshalb zwischen sie und Cookie, bis Daisy ein wenig mehr über den Lockenkopf erfahren hat, am besten die Wahrheit kennt. )
