“I’m so happy,” Sapnap whispers, and George wants to cry. He rubs his hand across the warm skin, the soft fuzz of his happy trail. A baby, a little tiny pup, growing inside Sapnap. Tiny yet immense. He wonders if it can feel how loved it is already, if its tiny little body can comprehend or even consider such a quantity.
His body shakes in a silent sob. He recalls Sapnap’s excitement when he presented, enthusiasm undeterred by George’s amusement or Dream’s bewilderment, waxing poetic about how you have to hold a baby so its head rests on the left side of your chest because they need to hear your heart, about tiny hands and hearts and clothes, wonder and awe and love clear in his voice.
“Baby, what’s wrong? Why are you sad?” Concern creeps into Sapnap’s voice.

He was half expecting Karl to reply to his Tweet and act oblivious, pander to the audience. Either way, he knew he was in for a good time whenever Karl got home. He’d be lying if he said the lack of response didn’t make him a little nervous though, Karl hasn’t even texted him or anything. Not scared nervous, more like nervous arousal. Dream and George are dating, and Karl and Sapnap are dating. They have a pretty regular routine, but one night George changes things up by drunkenly asking the group if they want to play truth or dare.
The game begins playful, as usual. George dares Karl to chug the remainder of his bubbly drink. The men continue for a handful of rounds, all of them feeling more energized with the opportunity to ask their friends embarrassing questions. Just as the men start losing interest in the game, Karl asks Dream, “Truth or dare?” “Hmmm… truth.” Dream chooses. “Nope,” Sapnap interjects quickly, “you’ve picked truth the last two rounds. You have to do a dare this time.” Dream shoots Sapnap a confused expression, “What? Says who?” he asks. “Says the rules.” Sapnap answers, shrugging, as if everyone plays the game that way. Dream looks at George for backup, but only sees an amused smile on his boyfriend’s face. “Whatever, okay. Dare.” Dream says.
