Sixteen years ago, the infant Weiss Schnee was killed in a botched kidnapping attempt by the Branwen clan. Sixteen years ago, Raven Branwen adopted an infant into the tribe, thanks to the favour shown by the gods to that child.
Sixteen years later, Shrike Branwen abandons the tribe and flees for Beacon, where she hopes to find the notorious runaway Qrow, her uncle. In the meantime, she'll have to put her 'underground' talents to good use, rubbing shoulders with Vale's underground in the process.
A simple path, it is not. Especially when forces malicious and occult start making their moves. For one favoured by the gods, life is far from a peaceful thing. And why do people keep bringing up the Schnees?
