Summary
Anon's father never talked much about his past before starting a family in Rock Bottom. It is only after his death that a T-Rex he never talked about shows up to the funeral, claiming to be an old friend. As it turns out, Moe and Paron were practically brothers when they were growing up in Volcaldera. Years later, after an incident in Rock Bottom and no where else to go, Anon finds himself flying across the country to finish his senior year at Volcano High, both Moe's and Paron's alma mater.
Moe is more than willing to help in any way he can, opening his doors to Anon and giving him a place to stay while he finishes his senior year.

Summary
We follow the story of Louis, a decently charming student from Rock Bottom, with dreams of becoming a musician, known far and wide, no matter what. Unfortunately for him, things don't turn out exactly as he expected. A little before the end of his junior year, sudden stage fright in the school auditorium leaves him embarrassed in front of the entire school, and even worse, a laughing stock. This pushes him to be resentful to people, making him the worst possible version of himself. But just as soon as he starts to mellow out, and get over his hate, his mother's job forces them to move to a whole new place. Volcadera Bluffs, Dinofornia! Beautiful beaches and even more beautiful sunrises. Obviously, Louis assumes that with the new move, he'd also go to a school dedicated to music, to better secure his dreams. He had to right? Yeeeeaaaah, no. Instead he's sent off to some cheap ass public school, with the only nearby place being some low-cost slum. But he won't let that bring him down. He CAN'T let that bring him down. He will persevere. Unfortunately for him, the move will be the least of his problems.

I've seen many E2 fics that seem to follow very similar tropes when it comes to how certain characters are portrayed, so I wrote this to see something different. Since the original epilogue of the game makes it pretty clear that the chance of them reuniting is slim to none, I've changed many things about the timeskip. Anon's 'take two' still left him no choice but the navy, but he managed to keep things going with Fang, even if it's at an 'on and off' basis. They still keep in contact, and Anon spends leave with them when he can, sometimes they go on walks (but never near any beaches). It's a bit monotonous on the ship but seeing their amber eyes still full of life is worth it.
