Summary
I've seen many E2 fics that seem to follow very similar tropes when it comes to how certain characters are portrayed, so I wrote this to see something different. Since the original epilogue of the game makes it pretty clear that the chance of them reuniting is slim to none, I've changed many things about the timeskip. You can consider this a E2.5-E3.5 of sorts. Hope you like it.

Summary
Ending 2 shows how Anon's life went down the drain. He happens upon Fang at a dirty pizza joint while on a rare trip outside his hovel. She doesn't look like she's been doing well at all. Based on how he sees things, he deems that they could never go back to what they had between them. He hadn't changed; people never change. He shakes his head, collects his pizza, and walks out.
A perspective shift, however, might tell a different story.

A veces el destino no se cumple, la historia no siempre puede ser buena para todos, a pesar de que el pasado les debe un final feliz.
Anon y Fang, dos almas en pena y dolor tan iguales, pero con una diferencia muy importante, el cómo fue su vida después de tocar fondo.
Para Anon las cosas mejoraron después de Rock Botom, ya que encontró un familia, gente en quien confiar y que lo ayudaron a creer.
Pero para Fang, ella solo se encerró en sus errores y problemas, dejando de lado a todos menos a aquellos que estaban de acuerdo con ella, sin alguien que realmente hiciera ver , pensar y reflexionar su pasado Fang solo se sumió en un espiral que hizo que su futuro se fuera al caño.
Años después Anon regresa a Volcadera por la reunión de Ex alumnos, ahora como ingeniero en Sistemas decide que quiere dar algo a la escuela que lo vio cambiar. Pero en su nueva vida como profesor de computación se encuentra con Fang, alguien que a pesar de no conocer realmente puede ver que es igual a lo que el solía ser, alguien resentido con la vida que necesita a alguien que en verdad la comprenda.
Podrá Anon realmente ayudar y apoyar a quien es su destino amar ?
Eso solo lo sabrá el tiempo…

When we reach adolescence we like to believe our anxieties mature.
Our darkest fears transition from imaginary to irrational. What we wear, who we talk to, and how we are perceived become more important than basic necessities.
Who needs 3 meals a day when you always know you’ll have a partner for science lab?
Why get a solid 8 hours of sleep when you can obsess over your outfit Sunday night?
Precious hours wasted on people that will never even look your way.
Looking back it almost makes me laugh.
We were just dumb fucking kids.

Summary
Following the fight that led to Fang and Anon supposedly parting ways, Anon enlists in the USMC to get away from it all, despite the advice of his father.
After a short and particularly tumultuous career, Anon is branded a hero, and then promptly discharged due to "injuries sustained in combat" alongside a close friend.
