Summary
The Trojan war ended abruptly when, upon a fit of uncontrollable anger and disgust, Achilles killed the King of Kings under the excuse of the man trying to force himself on Briseis. He was immediately taken as a loyal member of King Priam's court, who was immensely grateful for all Achilles did for his niece. While he was adjusting, however, a flame that had long ago been created between the two warriors, Achilles and Hector, finally burst and burned brightly.

Summary
A small piece I did for a “Myth in Adaptation” class at my university. Retells books 3 & 4 of the Iliad from Helen’s point of view. Cause my girl deserves nice things and I have a very specific bone to pick with the Troy movie. I consider it done, but did write a much longer version before editing it down for the assignment.

Summary
Achilles has Hector as his captive and toy, trying to find that perfect place in Hector's past where he can keep him, torment him, love him, control his pain, and keep him safe. But of course it isn't possible. And though he tells himself he's doing it out of compassion, it isn't kind, and it isn't safe. Achilles' mother has just about had enough of it, particularly when one careless and self-indulgent move of Achilles puts Hector in mortal danger.

Summary
A dark telling of Hector's hedonistic, shameful, and cowardly brother... and of the mirror this holds to Hector's soul.
I, and many Iliad scholars besides, had always been fascinated by Hector's decision to let Paris keep Helen. As Priam's heir and the Trojans' premiere warrior, Hector might have been the only one able to convince Paris to return Helen to Troy, but Hector never had this discussion with Paris. There are reasons put forth, not the least of which was that the Achaeans were coming anyway, but I'd always thought there were other, less...honorable reasons for Hector's failure to try and curb the desires of his spoiled brother.
