Summary
The course was simple. Swim from the shores of Australia's course to a point in the ocean where the gups were stationed. Find one, get one and get out of there. Head up to the Arctic and race across sea ice before getting back in your gup on the other side and getting down to the shore. But in a violent turn of events, is the course as safe as it seems.
This includes many OCs throughout the stories but they hopefully aren't confusing.

Kwazii and Tweak went through a lot during the Ring of Fire... incident. But they didn't bother to tell anyone what happened. The rest of the crew don't know why Tweak keeps coughing, or why Kwazii's eyes have dark bags under them. They don't know why there are scratches on Kwazii's hand and he keeps rubbing his tail, like something crushed it. They didn't know why Kwazii and Tweak were soaking wet and smelled like smoke when they got back from the repair station. They don't know why they stopped going to the medbay.
Tweak and Kwazii made a promise to each other. They swore they wouldn't tell what happened in the repair station. But with their health in danger, they may have to.
Barnacles is determined to figure out what's wrong with his Lieutenant and Engineer. He was horribly worried when they came back looking like they went through hell, but they told him they were fine. He should've known they lied.

Summary
When a mortally wounded otter is found by Octonauts they bring aboard to at least try and save her, espesscialy when they discover her precious cargo. But the thing that makes this suddenly personal, is that she's someone Kwazii knew from his pirate days.
When she passes, the pirate cat takes it upon himself to raise the three toddler-aged animals. But, fortunately, he's not alone. He has the whole crew to help him. And together, they'll explore, rescue, and protect the world's oceans and marine life.
