The Commander of the 5th crusade has to be stoic, calm, collected, and disciplined. This is what is expected of her and why Wenduag likes her, second of course to the commander's power. However, the commander may be on the path of becoming an angel, but she is still mortal first and foremost.
Fives times Wenduag witnesses her spilling tears in a moment of weakness. And one time, Wenduag does the same.

Summary
This is part character study of my Knight Commander, Zephyr, and part retelling of Wenduag's romance route. It sort of started as an attempt to justify how my chaotic good Azata Knight Commander and Wenduag could work out together, and then kind've spiraled from there.
Zephyr is not nearly as good a person as she tries to be, and Wenduag isn't half as heartless as she acts. They start a delicate dance of mutual manipulation and mistrust, and maybe by the end they'll manage to meet in the middle somewhere.

Summary
Following his victorious conquest of both Alushinyrra and Drezen, the ascendant demon Commander is at the height of his glory and power.
But his romances, Wenduag, Camellia, and Sosiel, are tired of sharing, and do their best to monogamy trap him. Camellia is certain he'll pick her - who else could compare to the noble half-elf? Not the weak little cleric, and certainly not the monstrous mongrel.
The reality is worse than she could've imagined. Not only does he pick Wenduag as his main partner, he has no intention of letting Camellia go - the crusade is nearly over, what use does he have for a murderous dilettante, beyond as a pet at the foot of his throne?
Struck with a mix of fear, horror and awe, Camellia has little choice but to accept her collar, humiliated, and held at the mercy of the Knight Commander and his favoured pet Wenduag.
