Summary
The Miraculous of the Black Cat was said to hold great power, abilities far beyond the Destruction it granted; and for that reason it had been sought after for centuries, an artifact that people are still seeking to this very day. Nathalie Sancoeur was not one of these people, yet the ring of Destruction ended up on her desk.
She already has plenty of responsibility in her life, from helping run her boss' company to raising his son, and she had no plans on expanding that list. Unfortunately the kwami of the ring seemed to only have two goals in mind: eating cheese, and keeping the ring on her finger. But as long as Plagg is by her side, there will be others after her for the Miraculous.

Summary
When Marinette found a magical ring and a chaotic cat god in her room, she knew her life was going to be turned upside down. Protecting Paris seems like something she should love, especially with her handsome partner Crimson by her side, but with the city fearful and untrusting of Lady Noire’s destructive powers the stress slowly begins tearing her up from the inside out.
Adrien thought going to school would be the big change of his life, but a kwami called Tikki and the villain Monarch swiftly proves to be the adventure he never even dreamed of having. Being Crimson Beetle gives him the freedom he’s always wanted, and while he’s used to being in the spotlight being hailed the leader and savior is something entirely new. It’s nearly as overwhelming as his crush on Marinette– but at least that’s a normal teenage thing.

Ladybug and Chat Noir were needed in Paris, but that did not mean that the city loved them. They did not see heroes coming to their defense, but rather dangerous creatures fighting in the streets. While the Miraculouses gave them great powers, it also turned them into the animals they represented.
Papillon was after their Miraculouses, civilians feared them, the government wants them contained; and yet despite it all they can't even know each other's names.

And now he's missing.
Nobody can find him— not even the superheroes, and not even his closest friends. But Marinette, Nino, and Alya aren't ones to give up so easily. They'll find him, no matter what it takes.

When she starts to say that she couldn't possibly accept something so expensive, he lies and says that the diamonds aren't real so that she does. Nothing could go wrong, right? Well, not unless the shiny new accessory on Marinette's wrist catches the eye of a certain Chloé Bourgeois the next day.
