Bernard had never been a fan of altars.
Even before he found himself flat on his back, wrists tied uncomfortably above his head with ropes that scratched like twine made from cat tongues, he had a thing about them. Too dramatic. Too blood-sacrifice-y. Too “You’re not getting out of this one, Dowd.”
This one especially sucked.
The chaos monsters—twenty of them, if he’d counted right before the chanting started—looked like something spat out by a D-list demon god with bad taste and a love for ooze. Horns, claws, teeth in weird places. Too many eyeballs, and not enough common sense.
Bernard strained against the ropes as the lead freak—bigger, slimier, and apparently in charge—raised a jagged ceremonial knife above its head. The others screamed in some language Bernard had been tuning out for the past hour.
Then the knife came down.
Straight into his sternum.
He braced for pain. He’d tried not to scream when it happened, maybe leave this world with some shred of dignity. But instead—
Nothing.
Or, what could've happened if Tim hadn't made it in time to save Bernard.

Summary
When a routine patrol goes sideways when a rouge witch pops up in Gotham, Tim finds himself in another universe. Again. He’s not really worried. It’s not his first experience with alternate Earths.
Well, until he finds out that basic rules that most Earths that have some form of a Justice League have don’t…really apply here. Oh, and he’s older than his oldest brother now.
You know what? Yeah, Tim’s panicking.
Or: the ‘Tim in the YJ show-verse’ trope, but comics-verse isn't a hellscape and the YJ-verse isn't perfect. Somehow, Tim finds a home despite that.

Or this was just how everyone felt. They always said that love is a feeling that they can’t describe, and maybe that’s just because it’s not there. Maybe love was just a state of being, something you did if you were in a relationship and slightly-liked the person. Or maybe he was just doing this being-human thing horribly wrong.
But what he was feeling right now… wasn’t love. Definitely not. He felt disgusting, he felt desperate, he wanted everything but to be here right now.
OR: Due to various circumstances, Tim ends up performing as a drag queen in a bar in Gotham with Kon in the audience.
Kon suddenly finds himself very attracted to his best friend. But like, in a straight way, right?

Summary
Tim was never meant to be Robin. He knew that- he was just a stand-in, someone to be used until Batman was better or another Robin came along- he wasn't family. So, he hid his identity from everyone. No one knew who the third Robin was, not even Batman. Why is it, then, that the Waynes so interested in Timothy Drake? And why now, of all times?
OR: The Batfamily have been trying to lure Agent C back into the family ever since he ran away. It's a slow-going process. In the meantime, Damian has latched onto Timothy Drake, and is teaming up with Dick to try and adopt him. Whether he wants to be adopted or not.
